A Minimalist Honour August 2026

Minimalist Award, Honourable mention, Austria, 2026.

Very happy to receive a honourable mention in the Minimalist Award out of Austria at the end of August. Ironically, I shot this in 2004 on film on Hasselblad while on location on my family winery in Margaret River of a feather I found in the vineyard. This is the edge of a feather, called Vexillum, deriving from Latin. It reminded me of a ploughed field that I recall from BBC TV production of Thomas Hardy’s, Tess of the d’Urbervilles. A sad tale of a fallen woman in a fallen field.
