A very disappointing experience. On 26th June I was contacted by the 2026 Mullins Photography Prize to say that I was selected a s Finalist for the image below. I was excited. Then 9 hours later I was contacted to be informed that Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre Gallery had erred and I was not a Finalist. Ringing around I discovered that I was not the only one and many other photographers had also been mistaking informed including a photographer friend of mine. What an unprofessional run event with such poor damage control as I had to email twice to get a sufficient explanation and a refund of my entry fee. 41 years of professional life and I have never encountered this level of incompetency in a photography award. A good lesson here as there are some Awards that I do not enter for various reaosns and am quite careful about where I put mey work. I will never enter Mullins ever again.

Back on my train project. Shooting a aeroplane from a moving train and funnily enough on Instagram someone said it was fly. mmmmmm.
