After the previous blog entry about Goya I thought I'd stay on the Spainish theme. Here are some B&W images from a trip to Spain in 2000. All below images are shot on the Hasselblad SWC/M on film.

I’m not so interested in the obvious view, the easy shot, but what interested me more was the support, the stonework and texture that had supported these structures over hundreds of years.

Basilica of the Sagrada Familia, by Antoni Gaudi, Barcelona, Spain, 2000. Usually, cranes are removed in architectural shoots. However, I felt as this is one of the wonders of the world, and as this building has been under continuous construction since 1883 the cranes are part of the building’s history. Due for completion around 2034. A building that literally takes your breath away. I would like to see this finished before I die. Part of my ongoing B&W odyssey through Spain. Shot on Hasselblad SWC/M on film.
